DMCA and Copyright Policy
MP3Juice respects the rights of artists, labels, publishers and other copyright owners. We respond to notices of alleged infringement that follow the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. §512, and we handle similar notices from other countries in the same way.
MP3Juice does not host or store audio or video files. The site provides search results and song pages, and downloads are prepared by an embedded third-party conversion tool. When we receive a valid notice, we act on the parts of the service we control, as described below.
How to send a copyright notice
Send your notice by email to contact@mp3juicesa.co.za with "Copyright notice" in the subject line. Under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3), a notice must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed, or, if several works are covered by one notice, a representative list of them.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and that is to be removed or disabled, with enough information for us to locate it. Please give the full MP3Juice page URLs.
- Information reasonably sufficient for us to contact you, such as your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Incomplete notices may delay processing. Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), anyone who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notice may be liable for damages.
How we process notices
When we receive a complete notice, we review it and usually act within a few business days. Our steps are:
- Removing the reported song pages and links from MP3Juice's search index, so they no longer appear in results or load on the site
- Blocking the identified video or track IDs so they cannot be found or requested again through MP3Juice
- Confirming to the sender which URLs were removed
Because files are not stored on MP3Juice, we cannot delete content from third-party platforms. If the original material is hosted elsewhere, you may also want to contact that platform directly.
Counter-notice
If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to contact@mp3juicesa.co.za. Under 17 U.S.C. §512(g)(3), it must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district of your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which the service provider may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notice or their agent.
We forward valid counter-notices to the original complainant. If they do not inform us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material within 10 to 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice.
Repeat infringers
MP3Juice has no user accounts or uploads. Where we can identify a source that is repeatedly the subject of valid notices, we will block it from the search index. We may also restrict access to the site for anyone who repeatedly misuses it to infringe copyright.
