R&B MP3 Download – Free R&B Songs

R&B, short for rhythm and blues, started in the 1940s as a label for Black American popular music and has changed shape many times since. Today it usually means smooth, vocal-led songs over soft drums and warm chords, with plenty of room for vocal runs, harmonies and falsetto.

Sub-styles include soul-influenced classic R&B, the new jack swing of the late 1980s, 1990s neo-soul and the moodier alternative R&B of recent years. Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Usher, Alicia Keys and Beyoncé are familiar names, while SZA, Frank Ocean, H.E.R. and Daniel Caesar represent newer directions.

R&B songs often turn up as slowed, sped-up or extended fan edits, so check what you are getting. Search the artist and title together, for example "SZA Snooze", and listen to a few seconds of the preview to confirm it is the original recording. Add "remix" or "feat." plus the guest's name if you want a duet version. Then tap Download to save your R&B mp3 download to your phone or computer.
